International Geneva “the world smallest metropolis”

Geneva is sometimes affectionately called “the world’s smallest metropolis”. And this moniker is no coincidence – many international organizations have their headquarters in Geneva; such as the UN, the ICRC, the WHO, CERN or the WTO, to name just a handful. Around 200 governmental and non-governmental organizations call Geneva their home, and many are located near the Place des Nations.
